Padres Fans, Did You Know About the K-9 Discount?

I’ve got a little secret.
Well… it’s not really a secret.
But I’m always surprised by how many people don’t know about it.
Every single time the Padres pitchers combine to strike out 9 or more batters in a game, everyone gets 25% off almost everything at Petco the very next day.
Read that again.
Every. Single. Time.
So now, whenever I’m watching the Padres with my dad, I’m not just rooting for wins…
I’m counting strikeouts!
“One…”
“Two…”
“Five…”
“Eight…”
NINE!!
Then I start doing zoomies because I know what tomorrow means…
Treat Day!
The next day we head over to Petco, and my dad gets to save 25%. That means maybe I get:
- A new bag of treats.
- A squeaky toy.
- More tennis balls (because somehow I always lose them).
- Maybe even a new leash or a comfy bed.
I like to think every strikeout is another treat earned.
I’m pretty sure that’s how baseball works.
